Heat Seal

What is Heat Seal?
Heat Seal is the more modern way of printing and involves a pre-made transfer being heat pressed onto garments at a set temperature leaving a crisp, sharp, solid finish.

Heat Seal is basically split into two types of transfer as shown below.

Cad Cut Vinyl Transfers

Perfect for small quantity orders and is best suited to simple 1 and 2 colour designs or text.

This basically involves the design being cut out of a coloured vinyl of your choice. This process is very effective and hard wearing.

With its extensive colour range and versatility vinyl transfers are used for everything from putting sponsors and numbers onto football shirts to putting company logos onto work wear and safety clothing.

With vinyl transfers larger prints and extra colours are more expensive as they use more vinyl.

PROS

  • Perfect for low volume single-colour prints
  • Sharp finish

CONS

  • Not suitable for fine detailed or multi-colour artwork prints

Pre-made Ink Transfers

These are best suited to larger quantity multi-colour logos which need to be pantone matched.

Available in everything from reflective to full colour, pre-made transfers are another alternative to long run print jobs when a solid, quality finish is required.

Due to this being such a “high end” finish and requiring a longer print time for production, pre-made transfers can often be more expensive with low volume runs so tend not to be used for smaller quantities.

All pantone matched transfer prints have a minimum order quantity of 50 and are quoted on request.

PROS

  • Pantone matched
  • Sharp, quality finish
  • Long lasting
  • Excellent cost effectiveness on multiple colour, large run orders
  • Intricate print detail possible
  • Also available for full-colour designs

CONS

  • Can be more expensive on small quantity orders
